Our annual Summer Party in Hamble

For many years we have been organising a summer social weekend, which was an ‘on the water’ event with a ‘Beat the Buoys’ competition, quiz and boat dressing competition, followed by a BBQ and prizes at the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club in Cowes (as you can see from most of the photos in the gallery). However, for 2020 we decided it was time for a change and we are arranging instead a Summer Party with dancing for up to 70 members at the RAF Yacht Club in Hamble.

There will be a dressing up theme of ‘What I was wearing when the ship went down!’, for which there will be prizes. Starting at 7.00 pm with Pimm’s Cocktails followed by a buffet dinner, we have booked a reputable DJ producing disco lights and music for us to dance the night away until midnight. We are sure this will prove very popular. All the boats in Hamble have been booked out for members to sleep on, or they might wish to book accommodation in one of the yacht clubs or B & Bs in and around Hamble.
